PARENT AND ME

A creative movement class suitable for ages 18-36 months. Perfect for the child who still needs a little more time before separating from the parent or caregiver. Parents or caregivers participate actively in the class as children learn basic dance steps and terminology through songs, stories, and play. This class will build their self-confidence to help them blossom into beautiful dancers!

TINY TOTS

Children will learn basic ballet movement and terminology through fun songs and the use of props. Activities constantly change to hold onto those short attention spans! Dance will allow your two-year-old to build motor skills, grace, and confidence. Student must already be 2.

SHINING STARS

Suitable for ages 3-5. This class introduces the basic steps of ballet and tap. Combination class is approximately 20 minutes of tap and 25 minutes of ballet, allowing some time to change shoes. This class offers dancers a space for exploration, improvisation, and expression through movement. Children continue to develop large and fine motor skills, as well as coordination, rhythm, teamwork, and listening skills.

BALLET

Come enjoy the excitement and beauty of classical ballet! This class will focus on ballet terminology and technique through the execution of barre work, center, and across the floor exercises. Your child will have a clear understanding of body alignment, movement quality, carriage of upper body, and flexibility.

JAZZ/LYRICAL

This class dance combines techniques of ballet and modern dance with current forms of popular dance. Classes include warm up, isolations, stretches, across the floor progressions, and choreography combinations. Exercises focus on increasing flexibility and strength, rhythms and isolation of body parts, and expressing personal style.

Group Dance

TAP

Tap focuses on rhythms and patterns in footwork through proper technique, as well as personal style and producing clear sounds. Classes include a variety of tap styles from Broadway to Rhythm tap. These classes are for dancers who like rhythm, precision footwork, and creative styling. Exercises focus on building flexibility of the knee and ankles, coordination, and speed of movement.

HIP HOP

Hip hop is a high-energy class that infuses the latest styles of street dancing, breaking, popping, and locking. Classes will encourage students to step outside of the box by bringing their own individual style and personality to the movements. Hip hop dance requires students to have the strength and stamina to successfully perform moves. Therefore class includes upper and lower body conditioning as well as a rigorous warm-up to help prepare students for more intense movements.

Break Dance Crew

CONTEMPORARY

Contemporary blends creative dance and artistry with athletic technique found in Jazz or Ballet. Classes integrate various traditional disciplines of modern dance foundations with current contemporary styles and fusion forms. These classes are for dancers who like creative challenges, connecting dance to other mediums, and physical challenges that require persistence and practice. Exercises focus on increasing flexibility and strength, total body connectivity, and creative problem solving.

MUSICAL THEATER DANCE

Musical Theatre class will focus on learning proper dance technique while exploring the various dance styles used in Broadway shows. Class curriculum is based technique layered with Broadway style jazz movement and includes a proper warm-up, stretches, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations. Emphasis will also be placed on learning performance skills such as connecting with the audience and telling a story through dance and facial expressions. Classes will include improvisation activities, as well as dance technique and performance. These classes are for dancers who like the spotlight, drama, and telling a story through dance. Exercises focus on increasing flexibility, strength, confidence, and performance.

INDUSTRY DANCE

A fusion of Hip Hop and Contemporary makes this class a favorite among many of our students. Everyone loves the opportunity to explore the most current styles taught in this class.  Students will focus on technique while enhancing their artistic creativity.
